2012 Women Run/Walk Memphis (WRWM) Program

Memphis Runners Track Club is proud to support women and running by hosting the 2012 Women Run/Walk Memphis 10-week training program (2010 RRCA Beginning Runner's Program Winner). The program is for Walkers, Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Runners. At the end of the program each trainee participates in the 'Graduation' 5K.

Training Clinics


WRWM will kick off with our annual EXPO on Monday, July 2, 2012 at the AgriCenter International.  

Here you will have a chance to register (if you haven't already), meet the coaches and have any of your questions answered, purchase technical wear, learn from local running stores about shoes and proper running apparel and visit vendors and sponsors booths.


Pacing-oriented training will begin Monday July 9th and meet every Monday evening at 6:30pm from July 9th through September 10th (NO training on Labor Day, Sept. 3rd). 

(try to arrive early for announcements or speakers)

Training will also include information on important topics such as:

~ Choosing the proper training program for your current abilities ~

~ Properly following your training program ~

~ Proper Form ~

~ Nutrition and Hydration ~

~ The importance of proper shoes and technical clothing ~

~ Warm Up/Cool Down/Stretching ~

 

The 'Graduation' 5K will be held Saturday, September 15th, 8am at Oak Court Mall. This race is open only to women who have registered for - and completed - the training program.
